This October Grammy winning bluegrass virtuoso Billy Strings will bring his Fall 2026 US Tour to Oregon’s Eugene on Tuesday October 6th 2026. Billy Strings will perform at the University of Oregon’s Matthew Knight Arena located at 1776 E. 15th Ave in Eugene.
Flat-picking guitar king Billy Strings won a Grammy in 2021 for Best Bluegrass Album for his LP Home. Since the charm country scene has been gaining momentum, the album’s success has helped tap a fresh crowd into the bluegrass world for which Strings is renowned. His latest album, Highway Prayers Vol. 1, Vol. 2, Vol. 3 and Vol. 4 features “Dust in a Baggie”.

Parking will be in lots around campus and will cost $10 to $15 per space, and fills up rapidly.

Born and raised in Lansing, Michigan, Billy Strings - born William Lee Apostol - is possibly the most exciting new artist to come along carrying the torch for bluegrass while infusing his own twist of modern day music into the classic genre. This collection features some of Billy's personal favorites from his extensive discography, including his flat picking magnum opus "Dust in a Baggie," high octane bluegrass masterpiece "Away From the Mire," bluegrass killer "Must Be Seven," "Taking Water," "Watch It Fall," and "Thunder." His latest release Highway Prayers continues to evolve and express Billy's growth as an artist and the unique sound that has been gaining an international following. His LP Billy's Home won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2021, further solidifying his position as a legitimate force in the world of modern bluegrass. Rolling Stone named him one of the Top 10 New Country Artists to Know in 2017.

Limited parking is available on-site; however, there are several university parking lots throughout campus that offer parking for around $10-15 per event. Some of these lots, such as Lot 3 and Lot 5, will sell out quickly. Street parking is also available; however, it is often a 1-mile walk to Matthew Knight Arena.
