The University of Oregon invites the public to a summer concert finale centered around one of country music’s front-running figures. Multi-platinum singer-songwriter Darius Rucker is slated to perform on September 19 at the college’s all-purpose Matthew Knight Arena — his penultimate US performance before two limited engagements across the UK and Canada in autumn. Rucker kicked off the roadshow at CMA Fest 2025, Nashville, followed by 20+ dates — annual fairs, festivals, and one-night-only events — with nothing but his soul, strings, and songs to carry him through. Don’t pass him up! He’s got some incredible stories to share.

Darius Rucker of Hootie & the Blowfish fame first took the mainstream spotlight in 1994 with his band’s double Diamond album, Cracked Rear View, an award-winning effort with Atlantic Records. Its meteoric success and application of contemporary roots rock was a critical point for the artist’s subsequent solo career, initially delving into R&B and progressing into his now iconic discography in country music.

The ACM, CMA, and 3x GRAMMY Award recipient presents a live concert experience swelling with many of the decade’s memorable country hits strummed in that smooth, unmistakable melody that often commanded airwaves and Billboard music charts. We begin in 2008, when Darius Rucker debuted his first-ever foray into the genre, Learn to Live, which dropped three number-one Hot Country singles – “Don't Think I Don't Think About It,” “Alright,” and “It Won’t Be Like This For Long.”

Throughout the evening, audiences will recall classic songs and b-side cuts along with our headlining star until his eighth studio release in 2023, Carolyn’s Boy, and new home runs like “Never Been Over” and “Beers and Sunshine.” Each more evocative than the last, Rucker’s usual live show fare features a GRAMMY-winning rendition of Bob Dylan’s “Wagon Wheel,” with US country radio chart-toppers “Come Back Song,” “This,” “If I Told You,” and “For the First Time.”

Located in Eugene, Oregon, our venue complements Darius Rucker’s bright, honeyed voice and Gold/Platinum hits with top-rated acoustic engineering. It also boasts excellent vantage points from any seat in the house, a play-off caliber atmosphere, and updated infrastructure for maximum comfort.
